I normally would enter into holy week — seeking peace, silence and stillness, yet with all of what is going on in our world today I offer a prayer calling to be disturbed, shaken and stirred. I share this with you.
Disturb my being, O Holy Ground— Let silence stir within, Like shifting Earth beneath weary feet, breaking open the ground of my complacency
Shake me from stillness, Like whirling Wind
Calling me to move to mercy’s rhythm, A dialogue of life, A dialogue with life, Return me to.
Disturb my being, O Holy Light Like dancing Fire that purifies. Daring me boldly go To areas of fear and darkness within, Igniting, undimming
Let Water flow in my desert places— Softening and cleansing, Refreshing and renewing.
Disturb my being, O Holy Presence— dare me to venture into the depths coming home and coming from You, the source of my being.
Thank you, Weeyaa! I share your sentiment…disturb, shaken, feelings of powerlessness in this beautiful, amazing, unfair, and brutal world. Thanks for the accompanying pictures too! (Web master mind Rebecca?!!!)
