Celebrating Our New Mission in Canada

Purpose of Journeys and Experiences

On 6th April 2016, Sr. Thuong Truong RNDM, arrived in Winnipeg, the first of the Sisters who were to come to the “new mission” with Indigenous people in Canada.  Sisters Jacinta Dkhar (2017), Nwe Ni Oo (2017), and Pricilla Lugun (2020) arrived one-by-one, and Sr. Pham Thi Thuy Giang arrived in 2019 to take up her new work at St. Philip Minh Vietnamese parish.

To mark the fifth anniversary of that first “step in faith”, the Sisters involved began to write about what the journey has been for them.  We are still hopeful that we will receive more Sisters, once the Covid-19 pandemic has ended.  In the meantime, we celebrate these first five (plus) years, and share our reflections.
