On Saturday, 15 November 2025, the Saint Boniface Diocese and Winnipeg Archdiocese came together to host a vibrant Youth Festival in preparation for World Youth Day, under the inspiring theme: “I Am a Witness.”

Nearly eighty young people filled St. Mary’s Academy with joyful energy and open hearts. The Discernment Group led one of the day’s workshops, “Discerning God’s Will,” inviting participants to listen deeply for God’s voice in their lives.

The session began with a lively icebreaker focused on attentive listening, followed by two enriching sharings:

  • Sr. Giang Pham, RNDM, spoke about “The Crossroads of Discernment,” offering experience on recognizing God’s guidance.

  • Sr. Jacinta Dkhar, RNDM, shared reflections on the “Joy of Daily Life,” reminding the youth that holiness grows in ordinary moments.

During Q&A, the young participants asked thoughtful questions:

“How does someone become a nun?”

What is your congregation’s charism and spirituality?”

“What keeps your vocation alive?”

These are important questions, sparking meaningful conversations about faith, purpose, and commitment.

The festival concluded with a moving prayer and a communal singing of St. Francis’ beloved hymn, “Make Me a Channel of Your Peace.” The hope remained that each young Catholic present would go forth as a witness of peace and hope in a world longing for light.
