Dear Sisters and friends,
Since launching our vocational discernment group just last month, we’re delighted to share that eight young women have already joined us on this journey of faith and discovery. Our mission is to walk with them as they listen deeply to where God may be calling them, a gentle beginning of what we hope will be a flourishing vocation ministry in our province. The seed of hope has been planted!
We’re especially excited to share a highlight from our first official gathering, which took place on Saturday, October 11, 2025. We set out together on a beautiful day of spiritual hiking, guided by the theme: The Universe Story. Four international sisters led five of our participants along a reflective path, not just through nature, but into a sense of connection with creation and the Creator.
For the young women, this was their first encounter with this kind of contemplative experience in nature. They shared how it was different and to explore a spirituality they hadn’t known before.
One of the most treasured moments came in along the trail. The participants expressed how much they enjoyed speaking one-on-one with the sisters. They were curious, inspired, and full of thoughtful questions about religious life.
“How did you become a sister?” they asked. “What is the most difficult for you to live in this congregation?”
Their interest, openness, and joy reminded us that God is still whispering to hearts and that we are here to help them listen.
