Sophia Among Us: Wisdom, Creativity and Sacred Relationship

I imagine that Sophia is the Divine Feminine in all of us.

I had a surge of creativity one day. On a sheet of black paper, the coloured pencil moved until figures appeared, mysteriously taking their places in and around the bursts of colour. A visual Sophia was born. It is the community of support and nurturance where we all work in the directions of liberation, justice and peace (Prov 8:22-31). I invite you to reflect on all the Sophia relationships in your life.

What if this art appeared as a prominent stain glass window in a sanctuary of worship?

Sophia’s history is ancient and ever present. Other artists have visualized her, like Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel (1509-1510),  where I see her peeking out from under God’s left arm, co-creating “The Creation of Adam” (Prov 8: 23).

Here is an AI production of “The Gospel of Sophia” with text and a featured art piece:

Blessings on your Sophia.
