Mom's Fudge

Equipment
- 1 medium saucepan
- 1 greased pan
Ingredients
- 2-3 cups sugar (I only use 2 cups, but Mom used 3)
- 6 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients together well.
- On high heat, bring to boil then reduce heat to maintain boil but less than full boil. Cook for 20-25 minutes, adding butter at the 18 minute mark.
- Add two tablespoons of vanilla extract when you remove the fudge from the heat. Mom and I never measured this….always a free pour 😊.
- Stir the fudge until creamy, usually about 5 minutes of stirring.
- Pour fudge into a pre-buttered pan. Let cool and enjoy.
